Dear OKX Users,

To enhance your trading experience and reduce costs, OKX will adjust the minimum order quantity and order quantity precision for select perpetual and futures contracts on March 14, 2024 (2:00–4:00 PM UTC+8).

Understanding Order Quantity Precision & Minimums

• Order Quantity Precision: The smallest incremental change allowed for order sizes.
  Example: ETHUSDT perpetual contracts with a precision of 0.1 lots (0.01 ETH) allow orders like 1.1 or 1.2 lots.
• Minimum Order Quantity: The smallest allowable order size, always a multiple of the precision.

Key Rules Post-Adjustment

1. Position & Order Display:

   • Holdings and pending orders will show fractional lots (e.g., 10.5 lots for SHIBUSDT).
   • Applies to API, strategy, and copy-trading users.

2. Order Submission:

   • New/modified orders must adhere to the updated precision and minimums.
     Example: SHIBUSDT orders must now be in 0.1-lot increments (≥0.1 lots).

3. API Updates:

   • lotSz (precision) and minSz (minimum) values in API/WebSocket responses will reflect adjustments.

Q: Will existing orders be affected?
A: No. Active orders, transfers, and leverage adjustments remain unchanged.

Q: How does fractional lot display work?
A: Positions like 1.5 lots (1,500,000 SHIB) will appear as decimals for clarity.

A: Orders failing precision checks will be rejected.
