Sub-accounts can be used for spot trading, spot margin, contract trading, and depositing funds into standard sub-accounts—but not for withdrawals. You can only transfer crypto from the main account to a sub-account. To move funds back to the main account, you must initiate the transfer from the main account.
Transferring Crypto from Main to Sub-Account
Via Web
Log in to your OKX main account and navigate using one of these methods:
- Profile > [Sub-Accounts], locate the target sub-account, and select Transfer.
- Assets > [Sub-Account Transfer].
- Assets dashboard, choose [Transfer].
- Select the Sub-Account and preferred crypto under Assets.
- Adjust From/To details as needed.
- Enter the Amount and click Transfer to complete the transaction.

Via Mobile App
- Log in to your main account and select Assets.
- Go to Transfer and choose Main ↔ Sub-Account.
- Select the target Sub-Account, adjust From/To, and pick your crypto.
- Enter the Amount and confirm to finalize the transfer.
Transferring Crypto from Sub-Account to Main Account
Via Web
- Follow steps 1–2 above in the main account.
- Select the sub-account and crypto, then click Swap to reverse From/To fields.
- Enter the Amount and click Transfer.
Via Mobile App
- Navigate to Assets > Transfer > Main ↔ Sub-Account.
- Choose the sub-account and tap Swap (right-side icon).
- Enter the Amount and confirm.
Depositing Crypto via Sub-Account
Only standard sub-accounts support deposits. Main accounts control deposit activation:
Activate Deposits:
- Log in to the main account, go to Profile > Sub-Accounts.
- Find the standard sub-account, select Actions, and toggle Deposit ON.
Deposit Crypto:
- Switch to the sub-account via Profile > Account Switcher.
- Navigate to Assets > Deposit to view wallet addresses.
